Moving help in fact can be as simple or as complete as you want it to be. For instance if you want the full service move – the one that literally does the whole thing for you, except pay the utility bills and clean your house – then make a list of what you want and start calling. They will pack and unpack for you, set things up (including appliances), drive your belongings there and in general just make your move as easy as 1-2-3.
Now, if that is the kind of service you do want, you will need to expect to be paying some serious dollars for this kind of moving help. Is it worth it? Depends on your point of view, but if you work odd hours, have young children and not enough time in a day to accomplish packing, yes, it would be worth it. Plus, if you happen to be moving for work reasons, chances are a full service move will be fully paid for by your employer. Check it out before booking a company, or stay with your company recommended relocation specialist.
For a simple move, say just across the street, or maybe a few blocks from the home you presently occupy, you would really only need a small van and maybe one driver. You could easily accomplish this type of move yourself over a period of time, so moving help might not be something you would need under those circumstances. Those kinds of moves are rather nice, since you can start a long time ahead of your moving day and with some luck, get into your new place early to start putting your boxes inside. You might only need moving help for the big appliances on moving day.
If all else fails and you would really rather use a moving company, one of the other ways to find out what moving help they provide is to search for online companies that compare movers, their rates and services. No matter what route you take to move, if you do the smart things first – like researching your options – your move will go well.
