How To Protect Your Fragile Items From Harm During Relocation
Posted by admin on August 11th, 2007 filed in RelocatingProtecting fragile items from harm when in transit is one of the most important consideration for you if you are moving. You can wrap glass and other valuables in newspaper, bubble wrap, shrink wrap, or cushioned inserts. These usually come with boxes purchased through moving companies and will help protect your fragile items during the loading, unloading, and transportation stages of your move.
If you want to place glass and other fragile items into a box, do line the bottom of the box with newspaper or bubble wrap before hand. You must completely cover the items in wrapping material and place them into the box with care. Packing too many items in one box is not a good idea. Each box had a limited capacity and you need to make sure the box can be sealed completely before placing it in the moving truck.
Another thing to do to protect your precious, fragile items is to buy moving insurance. This relocation insurance will cover any damage to items up to a certain limit. This is an especially good investment if you are moving across the country or internationally.
